This morning Kyler Murray had the eyes of the sports world on him as we did his official height & weight measurements at the NFL Combine. There was a lot of question about how tall he would be. Some speculated he would be as short at 5'8". Well he is officially 5'10" 1/8 while weighing in at a thick 207 lbs. Congrats to those who bet the over on both of those props.

I get that these measurable have to be factored into the draft process somehow. But year after year we see teams fall in love with the guys with the off the charts measurable, but they lack the intangibles and skills it takes to play in the NFL. Kyler has it all, he's a winner, never been in trouble, is smart, and by all accounts is a great leader and has command of an offense. IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY. Setting the NCAA single season QBR record. For those who don't know, QBR is a stat on a scale of 0-100 that ranks a QBs overall efficiency. Murray passed Russell Wilson on the record board with a QBR of 95.8. Unheard of.

All of the stats are right in the face of GMs and Executives who will be making draft decisions come April. I'm not sure how any team could pass on this kid. The NFL is slowly but surely transforming the offenses and it is tailor made for a guy with Kyler's dual threat ability. Every team that passes on this kid will regret it for years to come.

I get that these measurables have to be factored into the draft process somehow. But year after year we see teams fall in love with the guys with the off the charts measurables, but they lack the intangibles and skills it takes to play in the NFL. At some point I would think that what we saw a player do on the field in college has to mean more than how they measure out at the combine.

I said it the day he declared for the NFL and I will keep saying it until it does or doesn't happen. I think the Cardinals are going to trade Josh Rosen to some team in the back end of the draft with an older QB, think the Saints, Chargers, Patriots, Packers, and draft Kyler #1 overall. Kliff Kingsbury is going to convince the Cardinals front office that he wants his career in Arizona to live or die by the Kyler Murray selection at #1 overall.

There is no better prospect in the NFL draft this year than Kyler.
